Marijn slappendel

Marijn Slappendel

Marijn Slappendel (organ/harpsichord) was born in 1973. He received organ lessons from Christiaan Ingelse in Gouda. From 1991 he studied at the Utrecht Conservatory and the Dutch Institution for Church Music in Utrecht. Among his teachers were Reitze Smits and Willem Tanke. He also studied choir conducting with Krijn Koetsveld. He studied harpsichord with Bob van Asperen, and specialized in basso continuo with Thérèse de Goede at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he graduated in 2005. He is the organist and conductor of the choir in the “Grote of Barbarakerk” in Culemborg.
Besides his work as a solo and chamber music teacher, he performs regularly both as a chamber musician and as a soloist.
